Marketing and Corporate Communications Coordinator

The Marketing and Corporate Communications Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting the development of SmartyPants communications collateral across various segments of the company and will serve as the culture champion and coordinator. The Marketing and Corporate Communications Coordinator must be an organized multitasker, able to handle many diverse projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Innovation and Packaging 40%

• Works with the Marketing Innovation team to deliver the packaging design of new products, ensuring flawless execution and on-time delivery with cross functional project management and timeline creation.

• Project coordination to prioritize, track and manage time sensitive packaging projects.

• Work closely with agency partners to develop and deliver artwork files and assets for new product launches. Ensure final artwork design execution matches the original vision and intent.

• Execute internal and external routing of artwork files with cross functional feedback and alignment on new/updated artwork files; review digital and Epson proofs for color, copy and regulatory needs with meticulous attention to detail; and work with cross functional partners to route artwork with external agencies.

• Manage and maintain packaging artwork and digital assets file organization. Ensure artwork files and digital assets are easily accessible to internal and external partners, organized and up to date, and labelled with the correct naming architecture.

Communications and Marketing 30%

• This leader serves as the brand champion for all standardized corporate communication materials, ensuring a consistent look and feel across the business that captures the SmartyPants brand essence - this includes development and ownership of company letter head, PowerPoint template, email signature, profile pictures, company swag, and office design.

• Corporate Social Media manager, owning LinkedIn content and community management

• Tradeshow and Internal Event lead - Acts as the SmartyPants point of contact on trade events such as EXPO West and NACDS, and internal events inclusive of key Unilever / supplier visits.

• Assists with Influencer/PR & Stakeholder kits, as well as donation and sampling opportunities.

Employee Experience 30%

• This leader is a key hub of the company, being a major centralized go-to contact for events and on-goings in and around the company.

• As such this person supports in the creation, distribution and management of company-wide communications like newsletters, emails, SharePoint and Teams communication and company calendar.

• Leads coordination of Company In-office Days (at least twice per month), Company events and other VIP events, including site selection, establishing agenda, meal/activity planning,logistics, budget

• Open, review, record, and distribute or organize mail. Receive and distribute packages and product samples.

• Serve as Culture champion and model practitioner of core company values: Smart, Simple, True.

What You Have:

• 1-3 years of experience.

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in marketing, advertising, or communications.

• Proactivity, always thinking one step ahead and you are a self-starter.

• Highly reliable to get things done at a high proficiency and on time.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: ability to interact with all personality types and behaviors; flexibility.

• Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing

• Strong writer with ability to adopt brand voice and adapt for different audiences.

• The pay range for this position is $64,000 to $75,000. SmartyPants Vitamins takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. This position is bonus eligible. SmartyPants Vitamins employees are eligible to participate in our benefits plan. Should the employee choose to participate, they can choose from a range of benefits to include, but is not limited to, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, sick leave, paid vacation and holidays.
