Executive Director
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Executive Director is responsible for the efficient operations, overall management, and direction of the property functions in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines and regulations. Supervision of management and team member staff in accordance with company policy. Achieving and maintaining budgetary and occupancy compliance. Creating a supportive lifestyle for residents and representing the property to the community and the corporation.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education:
- Associates Degree in Business of Health Care Administration
Preferred Educations:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business of Health Care Administration
Minimum Experience:
- Three (3) years of experience managing an Assisted Living or Directed Care Community
Preferred Experience:
- Five (5) years of experience managing an Assisted Living or Directed Care Community
- Experience with traumatic brain injury, dementia, stroke, and/or DDD
Mandatory Requirements:
- Demonstrate freedom from pulmonary tuberculosis upon hire and annually
- Hold or be eligible for an AZ Dept. of Public Service class One fingerprint clearance card
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of the 8th-grade level.
Specialized Training:
- Have a current Arizona Facility Manager License in good standing, Adult CPR/First Aid certification, and maintain current status throughout employment
Specialized Skills:
- Must be able to understand and conceptualize. Demonstrate ability to make decisions in stressful situations.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Coordinate overall operations of the community within federal, state and local requirements
- Maintain supervision of managers and compliance with corporate policy and procedures
- Ensure staff evaluations, pay increases and disciplinary actions are conducted fairly
- Maintain and implement all operating and financial controls required under company policy
- Maintain physical property and services necessary to support the safety, health and well-being of residents – embrace
and teach how to create a risk and accident free environment - Attend or conduct mandatory meetings as required by federal, state and corporate office
- Represent the property dealing with outside agencies, including governmental agencies
- Develop and responsible for continuous quality improvement at the community
- Complete continuing education and renewal of licensure requirements annually or as needed
- Promote positive professional image and display a spirit of teamwork to all
- Prepare and submit required reports and responses as required
- Meet or exceed quarterly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals
- Miscellaneous duties/tasks as requested by President of Company
