Join a Neurology Department comprised of nearly 50 faculty members; multidisciplinary programs using full range of treatment modalities to care for patients; a vibrant neurology Residency program and subspecialty Fellowships. The Department includes large, state-of the-art outpatient facilities, and an established network of resources including dedicated outpatient neurology infusion center, neuro-psychology / psychiatry and therapies; social work; physical, occupational, and speech therapies. Job Summary: Work with an experienced, highly skilled, and comprehensive team of neurological specialists in BNI's Comprehensive Epilepsy Center at the Barrow Neurological Institute/CommonSpirit dba St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center. We provide comprehensive, compassionate, and cutting-edge care in one of the largest dedicated Epilepsy programs nationwide. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a high volume, diverse, and medically complex patient population, a phenomenal multidisciplinary team (7 epileptologists, neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, neuropsychologists, nurse practitioners and nurses, and neuro- diagnostic technologists), and participate in innovative patient care and clinical research. BNI is accredited as a Level 4 Epilepsy Center by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers. Our neurophysiology resources include a 12-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, a busy long term intraoperative monitoring program, continuous EEG monitoring in our 64-bed Neuro ICU, a MEG unit, and an active epilepsy surgery program.

BNI is a founding member of the Epilepsy Learning Healthcare System, a multicenter network focused on improving care and outcomes for patients with epilepsy. Teaching responsibilities will include instruction of medical students, neurological Residents, rotating Fellows, nurses and advanced practice providers. We function as a cohesive division with an expectation of camaraderie, teamwork, and professionalism. Academic title appointments with University Of Arizona College Of Medicine Phoenix and Creighton University School of Medicine. BNI Academic rank will match applicant's qualifications.

Job Specifications: Applicants must have an M.D., M.D./Ph.D., D.O., and be Board certified/Board eligible in Neurology by ABPN and have successfully completed Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship program and/or be certified in Epilepsy or Neurophysiology by the ABPN. Ability to obtain a state of Arizona medical license at time of employment. Duties include care of complex epilepsy patients, EEG and video-EEG interpretation, and intraoperative monitoring. Areas of expertise sought in clinical drug and device trials, epilepsy surgery, quality improvement, critical care EEG, and magnetoencephalography.
