Assistant Branch Manager

The Assistant Branch Manager is a leader who builds and maintains positive relationships and is committed to excellence through attention to detail and accuracy. The ABM promotes a collaborative team atmosphere while delivering superior sales and service to our members. The ABM will work closely with the Branch Manager to help mentor and coach team members to promote individual growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Expected to motivate employees and create team atmosphere.
• Acts as the “in charge” person in the absence of Branch Manager including closing and opening the of the Branch.
• Handle supervisory level interactions which include difficult/irate members and extremely complex issues independently.
• Identify and make recommendations to improve operational efficiency that enhance the member experience.
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations by working cooperatively and jointly with other departments to provide quality and seamless member experience.
• Will lead by example in all aspects of sales and member experience.
• Perform with consistent accuracy, thoroughness and effectiveness.
• Meet branch and individual sales goals
• Provide employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems or in resolving escalated complaints or disputes. Assist members with inquiries and solve problems in a professional and courteous manner answering member requests within 24 hours.
• Identify the development needs of staff members in partnership with the Branch Manager; provide coaching and training to help staff members improve their knowledge, skills, and job proficiency.
• Recommends, processes, and finalizes consumer loan applications along with ancillary products and services.
• Able to utilize 1Source at a high level, understands 1Source expectations and is able to coach and track individual employee’s progress.
• Is expected to assist the Branch Manager with projects and coaching as requested.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 3 years of sales/service experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity at a financial institution.
• Qualified candidates must have prior sales management experience and possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
