Position Title: Director of Youth and Children’s Ministries
Reports To: Senior Pastor
Ministry: Youth and Children’s Ministries
Classification: ▢ Full-time X Part-time, Hours: 10
FLSA Status X Exempt ▢ Non-Exempt
KINGDOM PURPOSE
Promote the Kingdom of God in leading Youth and Children’s Ministries to further the Mission and Vision of Lindenwald Community Church.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Overall Leadership of Youth and Children’s Ministries
• Vision and plan new ways to grow Youth and Children’s Ministries.
• Recruit and train youth and children’s ministry volunteers for Sunday morning and Wednesday evening.
• Oversee Wednesday evening programming which includes: kitchen staff rotations, purchase food, and ensure volunteers and curricula are in place for both children and youth. Wednesday evening programming occurs two times per month during the school year.
• Prepare and Oversee the Youth/Children’s Ministry budget and business issues.
• Provide clear, effective, and timely communication of youth /children’s ministry information.
• Supervise Nursery staff and volunteers. Schedule acolytes and youth nursery helpers for Sunday morning.
• Lead events/programming, including but not limited to VBS, Youth events, Third Grade Bibles presentations, and special music programs.
• Schedule bus drivers and subs for Sunday, Wednesday, and special events. Communicate transportation with parents.
• Development and maintain Sunday morning and Wednesday evening curriculum.
• Support Dance Ministry and Girl Scouts.
• Ensure the Safe Sanctuary policy is enforced and all children and youth workers have background checks.
Additional Responsibilities
• Active Participant of staff teams.
• Be available to youth, children, and families as needed.
• Integrate the children’s education program within the total ministry of LCC.
• Additional relevant responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
• Proven experience in Children’s Ministries.
• Track record of successful and effective interpersonal relationships required.
• Demonstrated excellence in leading others required.
• Event planning experience.
Skills
• Demonstrates team-based leadership abilities and management skills, including the ability to set and maintain boundaries.
• Ability to train or organize training for volunteers to participate in ministry.
• Strong work ethic; self-starter.
• Proficient in communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Passionate and relevant teaching which effectively communicates spiritual concepts to children.
• Professional behavior and communication in a team-based staff environment.
• Strong relational skills with youth, children, and adults.
• Humble spirit that continually desires to learn and improve.
• Emotional and spiritual maturity.
Physical Requirements
This position requires:
• Normal periods of sitting and standing in an office environment.
• Extended period of standing.
• Lifting and/or pushing objects up to 30 lbs. on an occasional basis.:
