About us:


The Simon Wiesenthal Center (SWC) is a global Jewish human rights activist organization that confronts anti-Semitism, hate, stands with Israel, defends the safety of Jews worldwide, and teaches the lessons of the Holocaust for future generations. It is an accreditedNon- GovernmentalOrganization (NGO) at the United Nations, UNESCO and the OSCE, the Organization of American States, the Latin American Parliament, and the Council of Europe. The SWC is headquartered in Los Angeles with offices in New York, Chicago, Miami, Toronto, Paris, Jerusalem, and Buenos Aires. The Museum of Tolerance Los Angeles, founded in 1993, is the educational arm of the SWC. Moriah Films is the Center’s two-time Academy Award®-winning film division. The Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem is scheduled to open in 2024.

About the role:


The Director of Finance Planning & Analysis will set the standards for strategic decision support, financial modeling, financial business planning, forecasting, financial reporting, and budget reporting. You will partner with the key business leaders to help drive the financial strategy while creating rigorous processes and systems that build a foundation for the organization’s growth plan.


About you:

You have a data-driven mindset with a strong track record of fostering accountability through well-defined targets and metrics.

This position reports to the VP/Controller and is based in Los Angeles.

 

Responsibilities:


  • Develop business cases to support new investments, strategic decisions, and M&A activities, including valuation analysis, financial modeling, due diligence, and integration.
  • Lead the company planning cycle and oversee long-range planning, annual plans, and monthly/quarterly forecasts.
  • Conduct business reviews and create relevant reporting packages.
  • Analyze financial and operational results, identify business trends and variances, and  provide insights to leadership.
  • Improve and maintain company metrics and own the accuracy of all non-GAAP metrics.
  • Evaluate the organization’s progress toward goals, recommending new initiatives and  driving dialogue on organizational KPIs.
  • Prepare reporting for leadership and Board of Directors meetings.



Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance; MBA strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with film industry reporting cadence and an understanding of accounting policies and revenue recognition requirements are a plus.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • 7+ years’ experience in finance/FP&A.
  • Experience with transforming organizations, with a track record of scaling planning, forecasting, and reporting in growth-oriented environments.
