POSITION SCOPE

• This candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining program documentation (lesson plans, instructor guides, assessments, visuals, etc) to support the overall Production Area.

o Production Area includes Boilers, Lime Kiln, Water Treatment Plant and Turbines.

• Will drive the implementation of training plans, creating training plans in partnership with leadership and union members.

• Work with area supervisors to ensure that training protocols are followed to allow for all employees to be trained safely and effectively.

ROLES & REPONSIBLITIES

• Developing interactive eLearning modules

• Supporting new hire orientation and the onboarding process like assisting with training new employees, and helping current employees receive the training needed.

• Facilitate trainings for employees through the Production area of the organization.

• Initiate, coordinate, and complete skills matrices and qualification check sheets that are uniform through the Production Departments.

• Conduct training needs analysis and identify training opportunities to improve business results.

• Revise and develop training materials and models, including delivering the training as needed.

• Create and edit Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Job Safety Analysis / Job Hazard Analysis.

• Documenting tracking and reporting of training effectiveness which can include training records, assessments, feedback for training activities.

• Review and update department program documentation and production work instructions as assigned.

• Ensure that all training programs, materials, assessments, and all forms of documentation are uniform in layout and formatting, for all production areas.

SKILLS

• Knowledge in organizational and management development skills training

• Knowledge of adult learning principles and how to effectively use them

• Supervisory experience is required

• Ability to work effectively with all groups of people, including unionized work force.

• Candidate needs to have strong communication skills, (i.e., interpersonal, written and verbal)

• Desired computer skills are Microsoft Office (email, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel), learning management system (LMS), SCORM and HTML, and document management software.

• Able to multi-task efficiently under demanding circumstances

• Prefer experience with ISO or in an ISO-regulated environment

• Organized, attention to detail, and able to manage numerous documents.

EDUCATION

• A college degree desired, however equivalent work experience in the training field can be suitable.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Shifts include Monday through Friday, days.

• Includes working in an office, as well as some time on the floor working with employees.

• The company will provide training regarding union contracts, various reporting softwares used including meeting environmental and safety objectives.

• Will provide training to make sure the candidate is trained in Reliability Excellence initiatives such as work requests regarding the CMMS system.

• Will also provide training on the basic understanding of the processes that can be found in the various departments in the mill.
