Project Manager Job Duties -
Project management responsibilities include delivering projects on time within budget and scope. Project manager should have a background in business skills, management, budgeting and analysis.
The PM will interact with both Company internal resources and third party/vendor resources, as well as, coordinate activities across teams.
- Functional Requirements: This position provides overall management of the contractor’s performance under this contract. The Program Manager will be empowered by Contractor to make day-to-day decisions in support of this contract.
- Project Manager will serve as the primary contact point for both the Government’s COR and the Contractor’s employees. The Project Manager shall not work simultaneously as a contractor employee under any task order under the contract.
- Required Education: BA/BS degree in administrative, management, communications, or relevant business-related discipline.
- Required Experience: A minimum of 5 years of program management experience.
Responsibilities -
- Develop/Maintain a detailed project plan to track progress
- Develop/Maintain weekly status summary presentation/report to present to Stakeholders and Project Team on a regular basis
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
- Manage a team that coordinates and executes projects for public affairs, congressional affairs, visual information and multimedia, and technical library/archive, aligning with the organization’s mission and goals, providing training and development to maintain skills and follow industry standards
Requirements
• BS Degree in Business or Science
• Proven working experience as a project manager in the information technology sector
• Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus
Must be able to pass applicable background investigation.
