Specialist, Executive Protection and Logistical Support


Pay Range: $90,000 - $95,000 / year paid on an hourly basis- Overtime Eligible

Duties & Qualifications:

The Executive Protection and Logistical Support Specialist is tasked with conducting close protection for the client located in the Portland metro area, and flexible to adjust to new environments as needed. This role will be responsible for providing efficient and high-quality support directly to the client and staff, as well as safeguarding client assets. The chosen applicant must work independently on projects, from conception to completion and are expected to competently respond to any situation that may arise while supporting the client and stay in direct communication with Protective Services Division Management. The chosen applicant must possess a high level of emotional and situational intelligence.


This Specialist may be directed to work odd hours depending on clients request which may include nights, holidays, and weekends. International travel is unlikely but domestic travel is required. Applicants should be in good overall physical, mental, and emotional condition, have a reputation as a team player and be willing to work long hours with ever-changing schedules and environments.


Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to tactfully negotiate conflict and remain flexible is a must. The chosen applicant must possess the ability to interact with all levels of corporation management, liaison internally and externally with a multitude of other departments and personnel and demonstrate strong oral communication and representational skills. Candidates must be able to brief, defend, persuade, and instruct others on security requirements and policies. Demonstrated leadership, teamwork and organizational skills and the ability to write in a clear and precise manner are also required.

  • Report to the Protective Services Division management team.
  • Provide covert and overt executive protection and driving to the designated client.
  • Domestic travel required.
  • Work within a cross-functional team.
  • Safeguard and maintain highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Conduct all facets of protective duties.
  • Follow and enhance the directed SOP. · Conduct ongoing threat, risk, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Conduct protective advance operations.
  • Operate motor vehicles in a safe and legal manner.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness: interior and exterior, hand washing on site.
  • Maintain vehicle readiness: fuel, tire pressure, service records, etc.
  • Prepare and maintain vehicle checklist, pre- / post-use.
  • Prepare/maintain client’s comfort items in the vehicles: water, tissues, umbrellas, etc.
  • Interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Prioritize, multi-task and work independently under tight deadlines.


Job Requirements (Required):

  • Frequent domestic travel required.
  • Work in close collaboration with the client’s executive assistant.
  • Must demonstrate a balanced level of assertiveness and respectfulness when interacting with the client.
  • Ensure and enhance client efficiency and timeliness.
  • Safeguard and maintain highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Conduct all facets of travel protection duties.
  • Work in close collaboration with hotel concierge services.
  • Conduct ongoing threat, risk, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Operate motor vehicles in a safe and legal manner.
  • Prepare/maintain client’s comfort items in the vehicles: water, tissues, umbrellas, etc.
  • Prioritize, multi-task and work independently under tight deadlines.
  • Remain comfortable and flexible in ever changing environments.
  • Experience and understanding of corporate culture.
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of success leading high performing teams and maintaining professionalism under stress.
  • Strong operational background with experience assessing and executing emergency response/contingency plans based on risk.
  • Experience with after action report writing.
  • Will maintain a high level of physical fitness and personal appearance.
  • Pass an extensive background check and an in-house training assessment. Specific training will be provided upon hire.
  • Must not have medical conditions which would preclude candidate from carrying another individual of similar body weight or moving through difficult environments (standing/siting for long periods of time).
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as required.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Drug and nicotine-free; must pass a drug screening and submit to periodic screenings throughout employment.
  • Responsible for conducting site, route, hospital, and hotel surveys.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Must possess above average ratings on the last four years of performance reviews.


Job Requirements (Desired):

  • Graduate of reputable Executive Protection academy.
  • Training in defensive tactics, counter surveillance/surveillance detection, and covert protection experience
  • Strong base knowledge in all facets of protective operations
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Extensive medical experience (EMT, First Responder, Special Forces Medical Sergeant (18D), Paramedic)


Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
