Pay type: $150k.

Schedule: M-F

Location: Jacksonville, FL. area

Position Purpose:

As the CEO and leader of the Company, you will have an opportunity to shape the overall direction of the company. This position offers a broad role and complex challenges. The candidate will be given autonomy in directing day-to-day operations and will be relied on heavily to keep the operations focused and running smoothly. They will be responsible for the financial performance of the company through driving efficiencies, and optimizing workflows, and will have a primary role in growing the company’s top-line Revenue and Net Income. The CEO will also be a business partner and will become a “go-to” resource for the execution of key strategic initiatives.

Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

The CEO role is responsible for but not limited to this list of primary duties and responsibilities:

  • Partner with the President & Sales Director on Management Proposals for qualified prospective clients.
  • Actively help source for potential Clients across the Client’s greater geographic footprint.
  • Partner with the President and Company’s digital marketing partner to develop direct and digital marketing strategies.
  • Provide essential guidance and details on contracted management services and participate in interviews with prospective Clients.
  • Direct guidance and implementation for annual management fee increases with existing clients.
  • Direct responsibility for crafting the annual corporate budget in partnership with Company leadership and corporate accounting team.
  • Review and analyze the Company’s financial performance vs. budget monthly.
  • Actively track and direct-action plans to address budgetary variances.
  • Offer final approval for purchases and expenditures based on the corporate budget.
  • Regularly review corporate accounting operations with Corporate Accounting shared services.
  • Work with Corporate HR shared services and resources to monitor company payroll activity.
  • Develop protocols and procedures for the basic onboarding and integration of acquired businesses into Company Management.
  • Partner with Parent Company leadership and engage the senior leadership team in deal process and integration to make the add-on process simpler.
  • Develop a playbook that can be repeated for smaller tuck-in acquisitions.
  • Be a ‘culture champion.’ We are proud of our culture. The CEO will need to create a culture of empowerment, responsibility, accountability, and continuous improvement, where our clients are the focus of everything the company does.
  • Hiring staff required to meet contractual obligations and set up implementation with Paylocity, Vanguard, and other company benefits as necessary.
  • Verify with Clients and Managers on employee and company performance.
  • Supervision and routine meetings with staff to ensure performance standards.
  • Increase teamwork and employee morale.
  • Develop human capital from within the organization through supporting deliberate mentorship across all employee levels.
  • Conduct client-facing engagements to ensure quality of service delivery or identify needs for service recovery.
  • Direct the execution of client satisfaction or NPS surveys to inform client risk statuses and action plans with senior leadership team.
  • Participate in Account Termination Reviews with leadership and management teams.
  • Tend to Legal matters of the Office (Civil, Complaints, BBB, DBPR) and serve as Corporate Representative for the Company in Association Lawsuits.
  • Respond to requests for audits and claims related to workers' compensation and reemployment claims.
  • Review recommendations from Employees, Members, and Customers for implementation of new policies and procedures.
  • Direct and guide policies and procedures about any corporate functions.
  • Review and analyze reporting across the organization, summarize information, and identify trends with senior leadership.

Accountable Metrics:

The CEO will be held accountable to certain metrics and KPIs, and it will be additionally tied to other incentive compensation. These metrics may change slightly year-over-year depending on strategic needs of the business, but will largely include:

  • Budgeted EBITDA growth and margin
  • Top-line revenue growth
  • Client Retention
  • Employee turnover and engagement
  • Sales effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in Association or Property Management with a track record of success and increasing responsibility. Additional CAI designations (CMCA, AMS, PCAM, etc.) are a bonus.
  • Experience managing a company's P&L.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
  • Expertise in establishing effective systems, processes, and workflow analysis.
  • Experience in the creation of metrics (KPIs) as well as setting, measuring, and enforcing operational standards.
  • Excellent business software knowledge.
