Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Edmond, OK (Full-Time, Hybrid)
Company: Confidential Client of NOW CFO

Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee all accounting and financial operations for a growing organization in the financial services/banking space. This individual will play a key leadership role in building out the finance function, driving financial strategy, and ensuring regulatory compliance while partnering closely with executive leadership and the Board. This is a direct hire, permanent opportunity on our client's team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term capital strategy
  • Build and scale the accounting and finance function, including processes, systems, and team structure
  • Manage regulatory and financial reporting, including financial statements and required filings
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, liquidity, and funding projections, including interest rate risk
  • Oversee asset/liability management (ALCO), balance sheet strategy, and financial risk analysis
  • Partner with executive leadership and Board to drive strategic initiatives and profitability
  • Maintain relationships with auditors, regulators, banking partners, and external stakeholders
  • Support ERP implementation and ongoing financial systems improvements
  • Lead and develop the finance and accounting team
Must-Have Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 710+ years of progressive experience in finance/accounting, with strong exposure to banking or financial services
  • Strong background in banking regulations, approvals/accreditation processes, and compliance
  • Experience with cash flow management, funding strategies, and financial projections
  • Prior involvement in ERP implementations or system upgrades
  • Proven ability to assess and manage financial risks, including interest rate risk
  • Experience building or scaling accounting/finance functions or working in a growing environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to partner with executive stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • CPA or similar professional certification
  • Experience working in a startup or newly chartered banking environment
  • Highly self-motivated with strong ownership and accountability mindset
