Job Description

George Sink Law Firm is looking for a motivated Legal Medical Records Coordinator to join our local team! As a Medical Record Coordinator, you will provide overall support to attorneys' and legal assistants with the medical records for their case files. Candidates for this position must have a strong work ethic, professional demeanor, be detail-oriented, a team player, and the ability to work well with limited supervision.

Responsibilities:

Reviews all medical record request to ensure the request are HIPPAA/HITECH compliant
Monitors attorney and legal assistant requests for their case files
Process all requests for records/bills, i.e., attorney requests, patient requests, provider requests, auto insurance requests, etc.
Certifies records as requested through CIOX
Manage all correspondence with requestors via phone, email, or in writing
Follows up on all outstanding invoices for medical record requests
Adheres to all MCBS compliance policies
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Associates Degree
Previous experience with medical records
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Ability to communicate in a concise and effective manner using tact, courtesy, sensitivity, and confidentiality
Ability to understand and follow instructions precisely with accuracy and attention to detail
