Regional Executive Director, PLA University

The Opportunity:  The Regional Executive Director will oversee the day-to-day program management of the adult learning experience at PLA University and lead the fulfillment of the program’s mission to help thousands of
families achieve economic strength and stability.

The Details
Key Deliverables:

• Oversee and manage teams at multiple PLA University locations
• Assist the Vice President with continually identifying additional revenue streams to ensure long-term financial stability
• Responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of program participants
• Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Ensure that a minimum of 80% of our program enrollees graduate annually and 80% obtain employment.
• Provide leadership for the design and implementation of PLA University to increase the level of participant achievement, including identification and procurement of content partners aligned with PLA University’s Strategic Plan.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain effective strategic community partnerships and alliances that enhance participant achievement.
• Partner with local businesses to ensure ongoing placement opportunities for our graduates
• Coordinate career partnerships that result in participant job opportunities that will support an 80% or better employment rate for PLA University graduates in their preferred area within 3 months of graduation.
• Responsible for recruiting teachers and partners who are authorized to teach certification courses
• Deliver Professional Career Skills Workshops to all program participants
• Responsible for the content quality of programs offered in alignment with PLA University expectations
• Support strategies to promote a culture of equity and inclusion while demonstrating a deep understanding of and empathy for issues facing diverse groups
• Maintain exceptional relationships with enrolled families and community members through excellent verbal and written communication, events, and positive interactions
• Ensure all participants follow established policies and procedures
• Responsible for the ongoing financial sustainability of the program
• Perform administrative duties, including required documentation, filing, emails, phone calls, and organizational tasks
• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
• Oversee day-to-day operations of PLA University in Vice Presidents absence

Experience and Education Requirements:

• At least five (5) years of relevant work-related experience
• Experience managing a team
• Experience working with adult learners preferable
• Strong track record in managing a comprehensive and complex array of projects with intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and a results-oriented approach
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Innovative approach
• Experience with Customer Relationship Management systems a plus
• Ability to work nights and weekends
• Bachelor's Degree required
