FM Talent Source is currently seeking an experienced HR Generalist for one of our valued commercial clients based in Silver Spring, MD. This position is a temporary part time role with the possibility of conversion to a permanent basis on the behalf of the client!

Responsibilities

  • Drive people initiatives and programs that support high levels of engagement, including intentional culture change and support, core values alignment, and professional development benefits.
  • Support the creation of a culture of trust, collaboration, and learning by designing and implementing strategies that focus on developing employee strengths and encouraging cross-functional collaboration.
  • Deepen engagement by collaboratively designing and leading initiatives that allow employees to engage with and learn from each other across departments, including but not limited to, organizing staff meetings, staff celebrations, and other staff-oriented events.
  • Ground employees in Global Communities' mission and vision by using the core values to help create cultural norms, celebrate accomplishments, manage performance, support priority setting, and decision-making.
  • Create and measure key metrics that are designed to translate into employee happiness, performance, engagement, and retention.
  • Work with the Communications Department, senior leadership, as well as cross-functional working groups to ensure staff are consistently and effectively engaged by developing a proactive and robust internal two-way communication system.
  • Lead the development and implementation of a global agile and valued annual performance planning and management (PPM) process that supports attainment of the organization's strategic objectives while advancing individual professional development; engage an internal cross-functional global working group to provide internal client input.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the PPM process and lead any changes required over time.
  • Support the development of strong management skills and practice throughout the organization through on-going coaching. Support managers in establishing effective supervisory relationships and leading their teams in alignment with Global Communities' core values.
  • Counsel managers on how to constructively engage employees to resolve employee relations issues; moderate escalated employee/manager situations, and participate in conflict resolution.
  • Consult Legal Department when employment and other situations suggest legal risk
  • Coach and guide managers to ensure talent acquisition, management, and development efforts support employees' abilities to maximize their contributions to meet Global Communities' strategic objectives
  • Partner with the legal team to investigate any business ethics/whistleblower/labor law compliance issues in US domestic programs and assigned HQ teams.
  • Deliver HR management and support to the USBP office and any other US domestic program teams.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion by ensuring an inclusive working environment; embed these values globally throughout the organization's people practices.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-7 years of demonstrated experience in 2 or more of the functional areas (Employee Engagement, DEI, Performance Management)
  • SHRM-CP is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
