Position Summary
The E-Commerce Merchandising Director’s main role is to provide day-to-day oversight and management of assigned e-commerce platforms and inventory management. Additionally, this person works with and supports the sales team so that the customer needs are met in terms of driving e-commerce sales, staying relevant on trends, maintaining inventory as data dictates, and oversees website maintenance. E-Commerce Merchandising Directors are driven, dedicated self-starters who work to fully understand clients, systems and processes, and loves managing an eCommerce webstore. This person has a positive attitude with the ability to work efficiently and independently or with a team.

Position Functions
Daily Responsibilities
- Oversees, executes, and ensures accuracy in the item sku set-up process for web merchandising from sourcing to sku population on identified e-commerce platforms
- Provides information and direction regarding graphic arts needs for web merchandise
- Regularly reviews merchandise to ensure proper and relative merchandising needs
- Runs Inventory + On-Demand sell-through reports to determine inventory needs, identify top-sellers, identify slow moving inventory, and merchandises accordingly
- Places and follows-up on all orders for inventoried merchandise
- Updates e-commerce platforms when inventory is received
- Partners with the sales team to source merchandise for e-commerce platforms
- Becomes an expert in the e-commerce platforms’ capabilities and features
- Reaches out to platform providers on issues which can’t be solved internally
- Escalates unresolved issues to VP Account Operations
- May handle customer service inquiries by phone and email if escalated
- May work with the Retail Team to transition e-commerce returns to retail inventory
- Works with dedicated customer service team + fulfillment team
- Attends vendor meetings and shows
- May be a main point of contact for vendor invoices
- Elevates customer service issues as needed to VP Account Operations

- Research, develop and recommend new product & services with an emphasis on creativity

- Participate as a member of the sales team to develop creative programs and solutions for clients

- Complete assigned reporting and other tasks accurately, professionally and on schedule.

Qualifications
Education, Experience, Skills, Expertise
- 3+ years of promotional products/ad specialty industry experience, preferably on the distributor side
- A degree in business, marketing, advertising, communications or related programs is great, however proven, successful experience is ideal
- Direct experience with promotional logo merchandise, print production, apparel programs, web-based company stores and/or product development is preferred
- Must have experience communicating with corporate business contacts
- Enjoys working with a team, brainstorming creative ideas, presenting solutions, and creating success
- Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, Order Management Systems, CRM platforms, experience with social media and e-commerce a plus
- Must have a valid driver’s license

Working Conditions:
- General office environment + remote work
- Travel to meetings and events with current and prospective clients.
- Required travel ranges from 0%-15%. *Includes both local and out-of-state travel.
