Merchandising Operations Coordinator Job Description
The Merchandising Operations Coordinator is a full-time key holder leadership position responsible for assisting in the execution of all retail operations. This role is primarily based at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, TX, with regular responsibilities supporting operations at Texas Health Mansfield Stadium.
This position plays a critical role in coordinating and leading retail operations during FC Dallas, North Texas SC, and third-party events, and requires a strong on-site presence during matches and event days.
The Merchandising Operations Coordinator assists the Senior Merchandising Operations Manager in leading, supervising, and carrying out all retail initiatives across both locations. This position plays a key leadership role in elevating customer experience, maintaining high operational standards, and developing processes that create a consistent, high-functioning retail environment during both regular store hours and event operations.
This person will help achieve retail sales, customer service, inventory maintenance, merchandising, and financial goals.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Supervise, train, and lead merchandising operations & retail staff, setting expectations and ensuring accountability.
  • Establish and maintain a high level of customer service, including resolving customer issues and setting service expectations.
  • Take ownership of merchandising operations by maintaining high standards and developing processes that improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Execute daily merchandising operations functions, including inventory management, opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and point-of-sale operations.
  • Play a key role in launching and establishing the Soccer90 retail location at Texas Health Mansfield Stadium, including setup, merchandising, and operational readiness.
  • Coordinate and lead retail operations at Texas Health Mansfield Stadium, primarily during North Texas SC matches and third-party events.
  • Manage inventory flow, including receiving, restocking, transfers, and cycle counts, ensuring accuracy and organization.
  • Execute merchandising tasks including receiving, tagging, product transfers, and setting up displays.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient sales floor and stockroom.
  • Execute established merchandising standards and planograms with accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist the jersey customization functions using a heat press with strong attention to detail.
  • Ensure store readiness for events and high-volume match days.
  • Collaborate with merchandising management to allocate staff, products, and resources across locations.
  • Support e-commerce operations as needed, Shopify experience a plus.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by the Senior Merchandising Operations Manager.

Job Qualifications:
  • 18 years or older.
  • Highly reliable self-starter - proactive, takes initiative and self-motivated.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and direct staff in a fast-paced retail environment.

  • Ability to manage time effectively and consistently meet deadlines in a dynamic retail environment.
  • Ability to follow processes, visual standards, and planograms with accuracy and consistency, and adapt to changing direction.
  • Working knowledge of retail systems such as Retail Cloud, Lightspeed, RF Smart, and Shopify preferred.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and events as needed.
  • Reliable transportation required and willingness to travel between locations, including regular trips to Mansfield Stadium.
  • Previous retail and/or supervisory experience preferred; experience in a soccer specialty environment a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of soccer, including international clubs, players, and brands, is a plus.
  • Ability to build structure and improve processes in a developing retail environment.

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and assist with heavier loads as needed.
  • Ability to perform physical retail tasks including but not limited to stocking, organizing, and moving inventory.
