Database Application Developer (Remote)

We are currently looking for a Database Application Developer who has what it takes to troubleshoot, support, design and develop database applications and integrations. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding how database applications are used throughout the organizations to support business processes. This position will play various roles in support, troubleshooting, system design, database development and integration development. You will work with members across the organization such as accounting and franchise operations to support and develop solutions to meet business requirements. This position will require someone comfortable in a fast-paced environment with a strong work ethic and a passion for troubleshooting and solving issues.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting databases and integrations used in the collection of data from restaurants and other various sources
• Understand existing data systems and provide recommendations that improve efficiencies in the flow of data throughout the organization
• Identify potential new data sources and create plans for how data can be integrated into the current systems to deliver value in making business decisions
• Support business users by helping them to understand the source of various information and troubleshoot data discrepancies
• Develop database structures and objects such as but not limited to tables, views, and stored procedures required for an enterprise data warehouse
• Develop data integrations using C#, SSIS, and/or T-SQL to create efficient and streamlined data flows to collect data from source systems, organize in dimensional data structures, and allow for reporting and other analytical tools
• Assist with general database system support such as backup management and monitoring, database maintenance, and database/server security

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years working with SQL Server and developing in SQL
• 5+ years of development experience with SSIS or similar integration platforms such as IBM DataStage or Informatica
• Experience with application development languages such as C#, VB, VB.Net, C++, Java

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Accounting or Finance, BS preferred

• SQL server administration experience, including knowing the basics of running Microsoft SQL Server — users, permission, backups, recovery, monitoring, etc.

• Experience building SQL reports in SSRS and Management Reporter

• Database tuning experience, database design and implementation, and management of database projects

• Experience building or supporting restaurant, retail or ecommerce back-end databases and integrations

• Knowledge and know-how to troubleshoot common database and data integrity issues, and experience with best practices around database operations and maintenance

• Highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and make room for emergencies, as needed

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills College Degree Required (BS/BA minimum)

• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of the organization

• Able to adapt quickly to new applications

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and with a team

Salary - $80,000 - $100,000 per year depending on experience

This position is 100% remote. Travel may be required.
