Program Support Specialist – Madison, WI (ROLLING APPLICATION)

Pay Range: $18–$35 per hour
Work Model: Hybrid or Onsite

Position Summary

The Program Support Specialist provides administrative, operational, and program support for the Wisconsin Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF), which administers benefit programs for current, inactive, and retired public employees. Programs include the Wisconsin Retirement System and multiple insurance and disability programs. This role supports administrators, office directors, and agency teams by delivering highquality administrative services that ensure smooth, accurate, and efficient program operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and operational support to ETF program areas.
  • Prioritize workload and make independent decisions after initial training.
  • Maintain accurate records, perform data entry, and support document management.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support shipping, mailroom, office equipment, and supply functions as needed.
  • Conduct research, analyze information, and recommend solutions.
  • Assist with workflow improvements and agency operational initiatives.
  • Learn and utilize scanning, imaging, and workflow software.
