Job Description

The Bowen Group is looking for a junior-mid level operations manager with the potential for continued growth within the company!

The Bowen Group, a values-led, industry leader in strategic communications, telehealth, health communications, wellness services, and staffing is searching for an Operations Manager. This is a full-time position located virtually in select states*.

CORE FUNCTIONS
Perform daily tasks for the contract that includes:

  • Build strong client relationships to ensure that all of their needs are understood and addressed
  • Lead a 5+ person cross-functional team consisting of a graphic designer, writer, strategist, web content manager, social media manager, and other key staff to ensure that all projects are aligned with the client's goals and delivered on time
  • Coordinate and facilitate client and internal team meetings both in-person and via teleconference
  • Use the company’s project management system to create long- and short-term project plans, ensuring that client deliverables adhere to established deadlines
  • Work with clients to adjust schedules and deadlines as requirements or priorities change
  • Provide and/or support the development of required weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual client reports
  • Managing a team and coordinating a wide range of activities and projects.
  • Problem-solving to help manage competing priorities from clients.
  • Using a project management system to create project plans to track and ensure delivery of contract requirements.
  • Working closely with government clients to ensure their needs are met and to address any concerns as they arise.
  • Manage time and possess multitasking skills to handle multiple tasks and clients at once.
  • Manage projects, ensuring deliverables are submitted on time and error-free.
  • Coordinate and facilitate client and internal team meetings both in-person and via teleconference.
  • Plan, direct or coordinate the operations of the project team. Formulate team strategies, and manage daily operations.


Education and Work Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a communication-related discipline and education or training in strategic planning.
  • Work Experience: 3+ years of experience in a related field.

Additional Requirements:

  • Proven ability to work with a blended local and virtual team of, writers, graphic designers, multimedia designers, researchers, reporting specialists, accessibility specialists, strategic communication specialists, and event/meeting support specialists.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a favorable background check and government secret clearance.
