Job Title: House Manager & Family Assistant

Location: Tampa, FL 33615

Employment Type: Part-time, 15-20 hours per week (15 hours guaranteed)

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with flexibility for travel day

Compensation: $30-35 per hour, based on experience

Start Date: ASAP

About Our Family

We just welcomed our newest member to the family, and are overjoyed to now be a family of five. Our home includes three children and a gentle, older dog who brings plenty of love to our everyday life. We cherish the little momentsmorning routines, playtime, working out, and cozy evenings togetherand are excited to find someone who can help us make these days run even more smoothly.

With monthly family travel back and forth to NJ, we are looking forward to welcoming someone who can not only keep our home organized and flowing but also offer occasional support during trips. This extra help allows us to be fully present with each other, whether we're at home or on the move.

Our days are full and lively, but we value rhythm and balance. One parent works a hybrid schedule and travels occasionally, and we are lucky to have supportive family nearby. Still, with a newborn and a busy household, having an extra set of hands makes a world of difference. We would love support in areas like laundry, meal prep, tidying, and assistance with family travel, helping our days feel lighter, smoother, and more manageable.

Key Responsibilities

Family Support

  • Flexibility for travel support for flight and airport assistance (approximately monthly)
  • Provide light supervision and backup childcare
  • Occasional date night coverage
  • Kid-related errands

Household Organization & Maintenance

  • Create and/or Maintain household organization systems
  • Daily resets and prep home for cleaners (bi-weekly)
  • Light tidying of living room, playroom, and kitchen (dishes, surfaces, vacuum high-traffic areas)
  • Toy organization and reset
  • Trash / recycling management
  • Seasonal swaps (clothing, dcor, bedding)
  • Event/holiday/guest prep
  • Packing/unpacking for travel
  • Change batteries, light bulbs, smoke detectors, etc. occasionally

Laundry & Linens

  • Wash, fold, organize, and put away all laundry
  • Occasional ironing/steaming and special garment care
  • Maintain tidy and well-stocked laundry areas

Meal Support

  • Plan and prepare 3-5 dinners per week (meals ready or partially prepared)
  • Prepare simple lunch options (sandwiches, salads, grab-and-go items)
  • Occasionally prep lunches for children during summer months
  • Wash and chop fresh fruit and vegetables for snacks
  • Light cooking (as needed)
  • Manage grocery orders via Publix delivery
  • Follow dietary preferences (healthy, low-carb)
  • Kitchen clean-up and maintenance

Inventory & Errands

  • Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies
  • Manage running household supply lists
  • Manage household orders and subscriptions (Amazon, Target, Costco, Publix)
  • Mail and package handling, including box breakdown
  • Returns, dry cleaning, and occasional gift shopping

Deep Cleaning & Special Projects

  • Occasional deep cleaning of fridge, freezer, and pantry
  • Organize kids' clothes (especially as they outgrow sizes)
  • Organizational projects for toys, gear, cabinets, and storage areas
  • Refresh garage and entryway as needed
  • Clean humidifiers

Pet Care

  • Feed and walk the dog as needed
  • Dog sitting while family is traveling
  • Occasional vet or grooming scheduling

Vehicle Management

  • Fueling, cleaning, and organizing family vehicle as needed

Vendor & Property Oversight

  • Oversee cleaners/contractors/landscapers
  • Research/coordinate repairs and quotes
  • Seasonal property maintenance
  • Manage outdoor spaces

Administrative & Personal Assistant Support

  • Travel planning and logistics
  • Awareness of family calendar (including household schedules)
  • Receipt/budget tracking for expenses incurred as house manager
  • Event and appointment coordination
