A new breakfast/lunch restaurant is opening near Lafayette College in Easton - Miss Jackson's Kitchen! We are seeking people to join our team.

Miss Jackson's Kitchen will offer a variety of Southern-inspired menu items created using healthy, locally sourced foods and organic ingredients whenever possible. The brand is a part of Martinez Hospitality, the parent company of the popular Lehigh Valley restaurant chain, Don Juan Mex Grill. Role Summary

Prepare and serve breakfast items while going above and beyond customer expectations and creating positive emotional connections to the restaurant and its branding

Position Type and Pay Range
• Restaurant is open 8am-8pm 7 days/week and 8am-2pm while Lafayette College is not in session
• Pay depends upon experience

Requirements
• Minimum two (2) years of breakfast cooking experience
• Must live within reasonable commuting distance to location (Lehigh Valley)
• Must be 18 or older to apply
• Understand the expectations of our customer service standards and operational excellence
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally and stand for up to 8 hours

General Responsibilities

• Deliver portions that are correct and meet presentation expectations
• Execute FIFO (First In, First Out) model for food inventory to assure freshness and quality
• Protect the customer experience by ensuring packaging, food presentation, and quality are top-level
• Constantly improve yourself by finding ways to do your work better and faster
• Proactively look for opportunities to be cross-trained
• Be responsible to fill your shift if you are not able work
• Ensure appearance complies with the Team Member Handbook
• Be a team player
• Display good stewardship and a sense of ownership for the business

Responsibilities
• Prepare, cook, assemble, and present food safely, quickly, and efficiently, meeting our standards
• Be knowledgeable of the assignments for all kitchen stations
• Prepare hot and cold individual and catering menu items
• Stock kitchen inventory as needed
• Keep the kitchen neat, clean, and orderly at all times
• Work safely around kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues to the Kitchen Leader
• Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training and stay up-to-date on any changes
• Complete all opening and closing tasks as assigned
