Overview
GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a Desktop Support Technician in the Sewickley, PA area.
Position Overview
GDC is seeking a motivated Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. This role will provide comprehensive technical support across desktop systems, user environments, and enterprise infrastructure. This role is responsible for supporting end users, managing system configurations, and maintaining core IT services including Active Directory, Office 365, and network connectivity across multiple environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware/software issues, user account management, and supporting both on-premise and cloud-based systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide end-user support (onsite) for desktops, laptops, mobile devices.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows-based systems and enterprise applications.
  • Manage Active Directory including user provisioning, permissions, and offboarding.
  • Administer Office 365 / Azure AD, including mailbox creation and user management.
  • Support and maintain Exchange environments and email configurations.
  • Configure and manage network services including DNS and DHCP.
  • Perform hardware imaging, deployment, and lifecycle management of PCs and devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to printers, scanners, and third-party software.
  • Create and manage shared drives and file permissions.
  • Assist with network setup, including cabling, access points, and connectivity.
  • Maintain accurate IT inventory and asset tracking.
  • Support G Suite administration and Chromebooks (where applicable).
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to resolve technical issues.
  • Provide support in multi-site or remote environments when needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Network Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in desktop support or IT support roles.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Active Directory
    • Office 365 / Azure AD
    • Windows Server environments
  • Experience with PC imaging, deployment, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.

Preferred Experience:
  • Hands-on experience supporting 400+ user environments is a plus.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure and Cisco hardware.
  • Experience supporting remote or field operations environments.
