TALENT TEMPORARY WORKFORCE: Lead Performance Management Specialist
This is a temporary salaried opportunity to join Deloitte Services LP for a short-term assignment.
We are currently seeking a candidate to fill our Lead Performance Management Specialist role between June 2026 and April 2027 for our Talent Ops - Talent Services team.
The Performance Management (PM) team is responsible for advising and assisting business leaders with the management of their practice through performance. PM manages and delivers the execution of all PM processes, which enable professionals to develop their strengths and enhance their career experience, to Deloitte Professionals below the PPMD level across the following businesses: Audit & Assurance, Consulting, Enabling Areas, Government & Public Services (GPS), Risk & Financial Advisory, and Tax.

Work You'll Do
The Performance Management (PM) Specialist is responsible for advising and supporting their assigned business with the execution of PM processes in alignment with Deloitte's performance management strategy. This can include:
- Serving as an advisor to talent and business leaders on PM processes and strategy, including socialization and education as the performance management experience continues to be enhanced globally
- Owning relationship with assigned talent business advisors (TBAs) and collaborating to execute performance management activities that support the development of our people and enable leaders to make informed performance-based decisions related to promotions, compensation, etc.
- Identifying trends in performance data and making recommendations for action, including low performer management
- Advising business leaders, team leaders, and coaches on navigating sensitive low performer scenarios
- Supporting talent business advisors and business leaders with the annual performance and promotion cycle, including identifying eligible professionals, advising on readiness, and finalizing/submitting promotion decisions
- Supporting the PM manager and senior manager to ensure consistent and efficient execution of the PM processes
- Coordinating with colleagues in India who support PM processes

- Ability to navigate ambiguity while applying strategy and processes appropriately
- Track record of flexibility and learning agility
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities with a virtual team (clients and team members)
- Demonstrates creative problem-solving skills
- Identifies and resolves issues effectively while knowing when to escalate
- Handles confidential information appropriately
The Team
The mission of Talent Services (TS) improves efficiencies and operational excellence, delivers strategic and transactional services, institutionalizes operational efficiencies and quality, and enhances ability to scale and reduce cost structure. Talent Services focus on delivery of both strategic and transactional services, either directly for the businesses, in support of the talent business advisors, or for Deloitte's global performance management process.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of human resource management or related experience
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred:
- Professional certification (PHR or SPHR)
Temporary employees are not eligible for Deloitte's health benefits, life insurance, PTO or subsidies offered through the Health & Fitness program. They are, however, covered under Deloitte's Business Travel Accident policy and may participate in Before-Tax Transit benefits.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $72900 to $134300.
