The Global Market Data Services team supports critical operational functions across Capital Markets, including Brokerage, Commissions and Executions (BCE). The BCE function is responsible for ensuring accurate billing, financial controls, and cost recovery linked to trading activity across multiple Lines of Business.
This Senior Analyst role is designed for an experienced back-office professional who operates autonomously, owns end-to-end processes, and actively drives operational improvements. The role requires a strong process mindset, assertive stakeholder engagement, and the ability to leverage automation and digital tools to reduce manual effort and operational risk.

The role works closely with Montreal and Toronto team members in a highly collaborative operating model with regular touchpoints and coaching.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Ownership:
Own the end-to-end invoice validation and approval process for brokerage, commissions, and execution-related activity
Validate fee structures, service descriptions, and cost allocations across traders and cost centers
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of invoice processing in line with internal deadlines
Act as a key contact for Lines of Business to resolve billing issues and drive approvals

Issue Resolution & Stakeholder Management

Investigate and resolve complex invoice discrepancies and allocation issues
Manage interactions with Front Office, Finance, Vendors, and support teams
Escalate issues proactively with clear analysis and recommended solutions
Maintain strong stakeholder relationships while managing expectations under pressure

Process Design & Improvement:
Assess and challenge existing workflows to identify inefficiencies and risks
Design, document, and maintain standardized procedures and process flows
Reduce reliance on manual processes and undocumented knowledge
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the BCE function

Automation, AI & Digital Enablement:
Leverage Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, SharePoint, Teams) to support operations
Build or enhance workflows using tools such as Power Automate
Identify opportunities to apply automation and AI-assisted solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
Support development of tracking, reporting, and control tools

Controls & Governance Ensure alignment with internal controls, audit requirements, and governance standards Identify and address control gaps within processes Improve documentation and audit readiness across BCE activitiesSupport to Manager / Team Leadership

Act as a reliable right-hand to the manager in managing day-to-day operations
Support prioritization of workload and help bring structure to the function
Provide guidance and support to team members where needed
Serve as a go-to resource for complex operational topics

What Success Looks Like (6-12 Months) Fully independent ownership of BCE activities with minimal oversight Improved structure, documentation, and consistency across processes Reduction in manual effort through automation and workflow improvements Faster resolution of issues and reduced operational escalations Strong, trusted partnerships with stakeholders across the business Recognized as a key contributor and operational lead within the BCE functionRequired Skills & Experience

4+ years of experience in back-office operations, preferably within brokerage or capital markets
Strong understanding of billing, reconciliations, and financial controls
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, including SharePoint and Excel
Demonstrated experience redesigning processes and implementing automation
Comfortable working with ambiguity and driving change
Clear, confident communicator able to influence without authority

Nice to Have

Hands-on experience with Power Automate or Power Platform
Exposure to Market Data Manager (MDM)
Experience with Coupa / SmartProcure
Banking or capital markets experience

Bilingual


You're fluent in French and English to support business operations outside the province of Quebec.

Salary:

$61,600.00 - $113,900.00

Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.
