Job Summary:

The medical assistant at our recovery center will play a key role in providing support to healthcare professionals in delivering patient care. The medical assistant will work in collaboration with other healthcare team members to uphold high standards of patient care and support.


Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care and treatment within the recovery center.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining patient records, scheduling appointments, and coordinating with external healthcare providers.
  • Assist with new patients during their intake. (urine drug screen, walking them out to smoke, assisting them on their next step)
  • Monitor and record UDS screens and BAC results and report to providers any unexpected positive screening results.
  • Report any missed UDS screens to CEG and medical/housing chat.
  • Separate and organize delivered medications at the end of day and give them to the appropriate driver.
  • Maintain a clean and organized healthcare environment within the recovery center.
  • Adhere to safety and infection control protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and compassionate care for all patients.

Education and Experience:
  • CCMA (Certified Clinical Medical Assistant),CMA (Certified Medical Assistant orRMA (Registered Medical Assistant)
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a similar role within a recovery center.
  • Proficiency in basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs and providing patient support.
