Job description

Job Summary:
The Patient Transportation Driver is responsible for safely transporting clients to and from Basecamp Recovery Center locations, meetings, and appointments. This role requires a professional, compassionate, and client-focused individual who can contribute to a safe and welcoming environment for those utilizing transportation services. The Driver must maintain a courteous and respectful demeanor while ensuring compliance with all safety, regulatory, and organizational guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with all regulations regarding protected health information (PHI).
  • Promote a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for all clients.
  • Conduct all personal and professional interactions with clients and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Execute transportation duties in accordance with Basecamp Recovery Center policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal driving regulations and safety standards.
  • Provide lunch coverage and support for other drivers as required.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or leadership.

Work Schedule:

  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM or 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • On-Call Positions:
    2nd Shift: 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM or 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Must posses a Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist (QBHS) certification in the state ofOhio
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record
  • Clear criminal background check and drug screening prior to employment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dependability and punctuality

  • Positive attitude and client-first mindset
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and stay organized

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of one (1) year of professional driving experience preferred
