ResponsibilitiesThis position is remote but candidate must live in the assigned territory (San Antonio, TX area). Travel is required.
We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will develop market opportunities for ADS products by obtaining approvals and acceptance for their use in design and construction specifications. If you are passionate about sales and engineering, we would love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Make daily calls on design firms and regulators to generate new projects and gain approvals.
- Conduct 20-25 physical calls per week and 1-2 Lunch and Learns or presentations per week.
- Provide monthly territory update reports.
- Work with local civil engineering firms, design consultants, municipalities, and developers.
- Enter and track all projects in Salesforce (CRM) database.
- Maintain a complete understanding of all ADS product lines.
- Obtain new and/or enhanced written approvals for ADS products.
- Get ADS products specified on projects early in the design phase.
- Provide technical support for the local sales team.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key engineers and regulators.
- Join and attend functions of key industry organizations.
- Develop yearly action plans for each product with MBOs.
- Communicate regularly with the ADS sales and management team.
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Internships while in college preferred.
- Good understanding of the local engineering community preferred.
- Ability to lift small samples.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Heavy local travel daily with frequent stops.

- Understanding of storm sewer and sanitary sewer systems.
- Strong technical acumen.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
