Weekend Warrior, Part-Time Memory Care Specialist, All Shifts

Cherry Hill Haven of Traverse City is looking for caring, dependable people to join our team as Weekend Warrior Memory Care Specialists. This is a part-time position covering all shifts on weekends, and it is a role where your presence genuinely matters. You will provide personal and medical care to residents in a warm, home-like memory care setting where relationships are built and lives are enriched every single day.

Whether you are stepping into caregiving for the first time or bringing years of experience, you are welcome here. We provide paid training from day one, and no CNA license or prior experience is required. We simply ask that you show up with compassion, consistency, and a desire to make a real difference.

Cherry Hill Haven operates four homes on one campus along with an additional nearby location. Each home has its own relaxed, residential feel. We specialize in memory care and are guided by a deep commitment to dignity, independence, and genuine human connection.

What You Will Do

  • Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration
  • Administer medications and document care in electronic medical record systems
  • Provide specialized support for residents living with dementia and Alzheimer's disease
  • Assist with mobility and transfers including the use of Hoyer lifts
  • Prepare meals based on dietary needs and assist residents with eating when needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
  • Document care and observations accurately and in compliance with regulations
  • Transport residents to appointments and outings as needed
  • Engage with residents through conversation, activities, and shared meals

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with personal care and activities of daily living is a plus
  • Interest in memory care and behavior support techniques
  • Comfortable monitoring vital signs and responding to changes
  • Experience with electronic medical record systems is a plus
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to transport residents required
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing, and assisting residents safely

Schedule

This is a Weekend Warrior position covering all shifts. Shifts are 8 hours in length.
