Job description

  • Lead the enterprise virtual risk assessment program and establish its operating strategy, priorities, service model, and success measures
  • Translate strategy into roadmaps, staffing plans, implementation milestones, and performance expectations
  • Direct day-to-day virtual operations, including workflow intake, assignments, inventory, due dates, turnaround times, workload balance, and escalations
  • Develop capacity workflows and resource allocation recommendations
  • Integrate virtual and field delivery through consistent service protocols and operating procedures
  • Own governance, quality assurance, documentation standards, evidence expectations, report clarity, technical accuracy, and underwriting relevance
  • Implement review, calibration, remediation, audit, and compliance processes
  • Use dashboards and trend analysis to forecast demand, prioritize resources, and recommend changes
  • Provide executive updates and strengthen reporting discipline and data governance
  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize virtual assessment tools and digital documentation capabilities
  • Oversee vendor-supported virtual services and process modernization
  • Lead, coach, develop, and manage the virtual Risk Control team, including workforce planning, selection, onboarding, training, performance management, succession planning, and talent development
  • Represent the virtual program in leadership, customer, broker, and cross-functional forums
  • Serve as escalation point for virtual service issues and coordinate resolutions
  • Complete virtual and onsite assessments for complex accounts
  • Coordinate with regional Field Managers and use direct assessment experience to improve workflows, training, tools, and the virtual operating model
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Risk Management, Safety, Engineering, Business, Analytics, or a related field
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • 5 or more years of progressive experience in risk control, safety, insurance operations, or a related discipline
  • Dedicated experience utilizing various virtual methods to complete risk assessments and services
  • Demonstrated success leading operational improvement, technology adoption, and complex cross-functional initiatives
  • Advanced analytical, communication, influence, and stakeholder-management skills
  • Advanced knowledge of risk assessment practices, virtual service delivery, insurance operations, and relevant regulatory or industry standards, including OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, and FMCSA as applicable
  • Ability to interpret performance data, establish governance, and convert strategy into measurable execution
  • Proficiency with department workflow systems, virtual collaboration tools, reporting platforms, and data analytics
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and support stakeholders across multiple time zones
  • Ability to travel periodically for team meetings, customer engagements, training, and business needs
  • Ability to complete occasional onsite risk assessments in industrial, commercial, or construction environments and use appropriate personal protective equipment
