Job description

Founder’s Right Hand - Operations Partner

Nick Evans and companies are a privately owned portfolio of real estate investment, lending, and operating businesses based in Colorado. The businesses span rental real estate, investment projects, operational ventures, and strategic growth initiatives.

NOTE: PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE POST FOR VERY SPECIFIC APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS. ONLY APPLICANTS WHO FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY WILL BE CONSIDERED.

This role is not a traditional executive assistant position. It is a high-trust operations partnership role designed for someone who can help create clarity, stability, and operational alignment across multiple moving pieces.

This role offers meaningful long-term growth potential for the right person who values ownership, trust, execution, and helping important things run smoothly behind the scenes.

I am looking for a grounded, highly capable person who can serve as a central liaison between my businesses, vendors, contractors, virtual staff, and personal operational world. The right person will help reduce operational fragmentation, improve follow-through, and create calm structure around both business and life logistics.

  • This is an opportunity to grow into becoming a true operational partner over time — someone who helps protect focus, bandwidth, and energy while ensuring important things consistently move forward.
Compensation:

$35 - $55 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Help oversee day-to-day operational coordination across multiple businesses and projects
  • Coordinate vendors, contractors, virtual assistants, and third-party service providers
  • Track open tasks, projects, and communication loops to ensure strong follow-through
  • Help improve systems, workflows, and operational organization
  • Support rental property operations, leasing coordination, maintenance tracking, and project oversight
  • Assist with bookkeeping coordination, accountability tracking, and administrative follow-through
  • Help manage scheduling, travel logistics, household vendors, and personal operational support
  • Conduct research, organize information, and assist with strategic initiatives and special projects
  • Serve as an operational filter to help reduce noise, distraction, and decision fatigue
  • Create clarity and structure in environments with evolving priorities and moving pieces
  • Communicate professionally, calmly, and clearly with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications:

The ideal person for this role:

  • Naturally takes ownership without needing constant direction
  • Has exceptional follow-through and strong organizational instincts
  • Is emotionally steady, calm under pressure, and low-drama
  • Communicates clearly, concisely, and professionally
  • Is comfortable operating in environments with ambiguity and shifting priorities
  • Notices problems early and proactively helps solve them
  • Enjoys improving systems and making things run more smoothly
  • Can make thoughtful decisions independently when appropriate
  • Values trust, discretion, reliability, and professionalism
  • Is highly resourceful and comfortable figuring things out
  • Experience in operations, executive support, project management, real estate operations, hospitality, logistics, family office support, or small business operations is highly valued — but capability, judgment, and ownership matter more than polished corporate credentials.

This role may NOT be a fit if:

  • You need a highly rigid structure or constant oversight
  • You struggle with follow-through or task management
  • You become overwhelmed easily by changing priorities
  • You prefer narrowly defined responsibilities only
  • You tend to wait to be told every next step

Screening Questions:

  • Tell me about a chaotic process or system you helped improve.
  • What type of work environment helps you thrive?
  • What is your favorite place you’ve ever traveled to and why?

Please also include:

  • Your location
  • Your availability
  • Whether you are seeking part-time only or are open to long-term growth
  • Resume and/or LinkedIn profile if available

To confirm attention to detail, please send an email to careers (at) nickevans (dot) us with the subject line “Details matter” and attach your resume. Applications that do not follow these instructions will not be considered.
