Job description

As Operations Manager at our Dallas UAC, you'll run the day-to-day of a high-volume reverse logistics operation — receiving, sorting, dispositioning, and moving returned product back into the supply chain. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll direct a team of 20–50 supervisors and frontline associates, own disposition accuracy and throughput, and serve as the primary point of contact for the customers we recover value for. If you're a proven operations leader who thrives in fast-paced warehouse environments and wants full ownership of a site with real visibility and growth opportunity, this role puts you in the driver's seat from day one.

Base Salary: $70,000 – $75,000 per year

Here's What We Offer:

  • Daily Pay Option – Access your earnings as you work; don’t wait for payday.
  • Medical Insurance – 3 Blue Cross Blue Shield plan options with low weekly premiums starting at $28.75
  • Dental Coverage – 100% preventive care covered with MetLife plans starting at $5.76 per week.
  • Vision Benefits – $10 eye exams and $150 frame allowance through Superior Vision by MetLife starting at $1.46 per week
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) – Company contribution up to $750 annually with tax-advantaged savings.
  • 401(k) with Company Match – Secure your future with immediate company-backed contributions.
  • FREE Life & AD&D Insurance – Basic coverage provided at no cost from day one.
  • Voluntary Disability (STD/LTD) – Up to 60% income replacement to protect your paycheck.
  • Prescription Drug Coverage – Low copays starting at just $10 for generic medications.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – Free, confidential 24/7 support for mental health and work-life balance.
  • Telehealth Access – 24/7 virtual doctor visits to save you time and high-cost ER visits.
  • Financial Wellness Coaching – Free access to tools for budgeting, debt management, and student loan resources.
  • LifeMart Employee Discounts – Save on travel, electronics, and entertainment through ADP.
  • Dell Employee Purchase Program – Exclusive discounts on personal tech and home office gear.
  • Additional Voluntary Benefits – Identity theft protection, legal services, and pet insurance.
  • Career Advancement – We prioritize internal promotions and provide ongoing operations leadership training.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Leadership Experience: 3+ years of operations, site, or warehouse management experience.
  • Team Management: Proven track record of leading and developing teams of 20+ employees in warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
  • Financial Oversight: Direct experience with P&L (Profit & Loss) or cost-center management is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Problem Solving: A "hands-on" approach to troubleshooting and implementing operational solutions.
  • Physical & Legal: Ability to lift up to 50–100 lbs as business needs require and possession of a valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Experience

  • Customer Operations: Experience working inside or directly supporting a Walmart Distribution Center.
  • Industry Background: Prior experience in pallet operations, recycling, 3PL services, or high-volume manufacturing.
  • Safety Standards: A strong background in maintaining high safety standards and regulatory compliance (OSHA).
  • Fast-Paced Environments: Familiarity with high-volume, customer-embedded operations where inventory flow is critical.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead, train, coach, and develop a team of 20+ onsite supervisors and frontline employees to meet facility goals.
  • Provide daily, hands-on leadership to foster a safety-first, high-performance culture through clear expectations and accountability.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for Walmart DC leadership to ensure exceptional customer service and smooth inventory flow.
  • Oversee daily warehouse, production, and pallet operations, including sorting, repair, and distribution.
  • Manage facility layout and storage strategies to maximize space, optimize material movement, and improve inventory flow.
  • Ensure ironclad compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and environmental standards.
  • Troubleshoot operational, safety, or personnel issues across the facility and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Partner with Regional Managers and Operations VPs to manage P&L, control costs, and implement waste reduction strategies.
  • Conduct regular audits, inventory cycle checks, and compliance reviews to maintain accuracy and an audit-ready facility.
  • Prepare and analyze operational, financial, and administrative reports to track production metrics and site profitability.
  • Ensure proper standards for stacking, labeling, handling, and storage of goods are maintained at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional warehouse environment to support operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate the movement of goods between departments and oversee the appropriate handling of returns and damages.
  • Communicate timely operational updates and service performance expectations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with HR and Risk teams to ensure company policies are administered fairly and consistently.

Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work in a warehouse environment. This may include exposure to dust, fluctuating temperatures (hot and cold), and moderate to high noise levels. Steel-toed boots and other personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required.
