Job description

The Data Platform Operations Manager within our Data Organization leads the operations and reliability of Realtor.com's Snowflake data platform, ensuring our pipelines and infrastructure run stably, perform to SLA, and scale to meet growing demand. This position is central to our ambition to simplify, scale, and modernize data at Realtor.com by shifting to a modern data operating model focused on core quality, reliability, and operational excellence.

You will take ownership of the day-to-day platform operations while also driving Snowflake platform management. You'll partner closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to keep data flowing reliably across the organization

What You'll Do:

  • Responsible for building and owning the framework for the day-to-day monitoring and operational support of Snowflake data platform pipelines
  • Own and transition the platform operations work into a dedicated, scalable operations practice
  • Ensure platform stability and reliability through proactive monitoring, effective incident response, and timely resolution of technical issues
  • Own SLA performance by tracking operational metrics, addressing breaches, and driving corrective actions as required
  • Oversee end-to-end data operations monitoring and communicate platform performance, risks, and issues to stakeholders
  • Maintain and govern operational documentation, including platform design artifacts, configuration standards, and troubleshooting procedures
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for operational issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams while coaching and guiding the engineering team
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold RDC's respectful and courteous work environment

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum 6 years of recent experience managing data operations, including data pipeline monitoring and incident response, with strong knowledge of Snowflake
  • 2+ years of people-management experience leading technical/engineering teams
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain clear, comprehensive technical and operational documentation
  • Demonstrated success meeting SLAs and performance metrics, with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to translate platform insights into actionable improvements
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience supporting strategic planning and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
  • Nice to have: familiarity with Generative and Agentic AI concepts as applied to monitoring and operations tooling
