Key responsibilities

  • Process small parcel orders, generate shipping documents, and create shipping labels in the WMS and shipping systems.

  • Verify order accuracy, quantities, and compliance with customer routing and shipping requirements before shipment.

  • Schedule carrier pickups, coordinate with parcel carriers, and resolve shipping exceptions and delivery issues.


Job description

Shift - 11:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Midday shift

Payrate - $18/hr.

Location - Commerce, CA


Main Responsibilities;


Shipping & Documentation

· Process small parcel orders in the WMS and shipping systems.

· Create and print shipping labels.

· Generate packing slips and other required shipping documents.

· Verify carrier service levels (Ground, 2-Day, Overnight, etc.).

· Create and maintain Bills of Lading (when required).

Order Verification

· Verify order accuracy before shipment.

· Ensure correct quantities, weights, and dimensions.

· Confirm customer routing and shipping requirements.

· Review orders for special handling instructions.

Carrier Management

· Schedule carrier pickups.

· Coordinate with UPS, FedEx, USPS, and other parcel carriers.

· Resolve shipping exceptions and delivery issues.

· Track shipments and provide status updates.

System Transactions

· Perform shipping confirmations in the WMS/ERP.

· Update shipment statuses.

· Research and correct shipping errors.

· Maintain shipping logs and reports.


Customer & Internal Support;

· Respond to inquiries regarding shipment status.

· Work with Customer Service, Traffic, and Warehouse Operations to resolve shipping issues.

· Assist with claims for lost or damaged shipments.

Compliance & Quality

· Ensure compliance with customer routing guides.

· Follow company shipping procedures and carrier requirements.

· Maintain accurate shipping records.

· Help meet on-time shipping and OTIF goals.


Key Skills;

· Experience with WMS and shipping software (ProShip, GrandShipper, etc.).

· Strong attention to detail.

· Good organizational skills.
