Job Title: Human Resources - Mailroom Clerk
Tax Work Location: Roanoke CSC
Job Description
Top skills:
1)Dock experience meaning familiar with moving pallets safely, loading and unloading truck.
2) Lift up to 25lbs easily.
3)Familiarity with the following:
Acrobat, Excel (viewing spreadsheets that are already exist), MS Word (pulling up labels and printing), Outlook, Access database (would be nice to have)
Work Schedule: 8-4:30 M-F with 1/2 hr lunch.
SUMMARY
Sort incoming and outgoing mail & packages for distribution and dispatches outgoing mail for stores by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Keeping all work areas clean and free from debris.
Open envelopes by hand (where applicable)
Stamps date/ time of receipt on incoming mail (where applicable)
Sorts mail according to destination and type such as returned letters, adjustments, bills, orders, and payments, routing them to the appropriate department or location.
Works with others in preparation of mail pull each week including but not limited to stuffing mail into envelopes and placing in mailboxes.
Examine outgoing mail for appearance and seals envelopes by hand or machine.
Determine correct postage for outgoing mail using sized based pricing template provided by the USPS.
Apply correct postage by hand or with postage meter. Weighs mail to determine that postage is correct.
Fold letters or circulars and inserts in envelopes.
Sort incoming and outgoing mail weekly and includes packing large heavy mail distributions weekly for our store teams.
Distribute and collects mail throughout the facility. Some desktop delivery may be required.
Keep record of certified mail as well as all incoming packages delivered by UPS/FedEx/USPS using Pitney Bowes Scanning System.
Accurately ship and at times, package all out going packages using both UPS Worldship System and USPS for both domestic and international shipping. Ensuring correct packaging and billing.
Required at times to deliver and pick up mail carts to/from Crossroads II & III side of building.
To become familiar with and use programs including but not limited to: Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PitneyTrack, Microsoft Teams.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. A Write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other team members of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
A driver's license required if assigned to collect mail from the Post Office using the mail delivery vehicle.
