LAFCU is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead our Information Technology team and oversee the technology that powers our organization. This leadership role is responsible for managing infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems administration, networking, telecommunications, and helpdesk operations while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of IT professionals while fostering a collaborative and service-focused culture.
  • Oversee the daily operations of networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, telecommunications, and helpdesk functions.
  • Plan, prioritize, and execute technology initiatives that support organizational goals while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement technology solutions that improve efficiency, security, and the employee and member experience.
  • Ensure the security, stability, and reliability of the Credit Union's technology infrastructure.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices in compliance with NCUA regulations and industry standards.
  • Coordinate disaster recovery planning, business continuity efforts, data backup strategies, and system redundancy.
  • Manage internal and external IT audits, regulatory examinations, and remediation efforts.
  • Partner with vendors and third-party technology providers to support business operations and future growth.
  • Maintain accurate system documentation and ensure all systems remain properly patched, secured, and monitored.
  • Deliver outstanding internal customer service by ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and maintaining high service levels.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, cybersecurity trends, and industry best practices through ongoing professional development.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent industry certifications and experience.
  • Five to eight years of progressive IT experience, including leadership or management responsibilities.
  • Experience managing IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, systems administration, and helpdesk operations.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory environments, computer hardware, software, and telecommunications systems.
  • Experience leading teams, managing projects, and working with technology vendors.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifcations:
  • Previous experience in a financial institution or other highly regulated industry.
  • Master's degree or advanced technology certifications.
  • Experience with business continuity planning, disaster recovery, regulatory compliance, and IT audit management.
