Job description

Job Summary:
Gesa Credit Union is a community-focused organization that values the unique experiences of its team members. They are seeking a Data Analyst Associate to support their analytics and reporting efforts, providing hands-on experience in data analysis and reporting tools while learning foundational data concepts and governance practices.
Responsibilities:
• Assist Data Analysts with preparation, validation, and maintenance of reports and dashboards
• Support data collection, basic data cleaning, and quality checks under supervision
• Perform exploratory analysis to identify basic trends and discrepancies as directed
• Help document report definitions, logic, and data sources
• Learn and follow established data governance standards, definitions, and processes
• Participate in testing and validation of reports to ensure accuracy
• Assist with responding to routine data or reporting requests under guidance
• Build foundational knowledge of the Credit Union’s data warehouse, core systems, and BI tools
• Attend team meetings, training sessions, and learning activities as assigned
• Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive data at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of learning objectives
Qualifications:
Required:
• High school diploma required
• Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
Preferred:
• Basic familiarity with Excel, reporting tools, or data analysis software preferred
• Exposure to SQL, statistics, or programming concepts is beneficial but not required
