Job Details: The Technical Training & Curriculum Specialist is responsible for developing, maintaining, and delivering technical training supporting Department of Defense (DoD) mission systems. This position serves as the program's training subject matter expert (SME), developing comprehensive training plans, instructional materials, and hands-on training that enable both internal engineering personnel and Government customers to effectively operate, administer, and sustain complex software and hardware solutions. The incumbent will work closely with systems engineers, software developers, technical operations personnel, and Government stakeholders to ensure training content remains current with system capabilities, engineering changes, and operational procedures. The position requires exceptional communication and presentation skills, the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to audiences with varying technical backgrounds, and the flexibility to deliver instruction both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. This position requires periodic travel to customer locations, engineering facilities, and operational sites within the United States and internationally. Applicants must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
Major Responsibilities * Serve as the program's Technical Training Subject Matter Expert (SME) for software applications, system administration, and operational procedures.
* Develop, maintain, and execute a comprehensive program training plan supporting internal personnel and Government customers.
* Design and develop instructor-led training, hands-on labs, student guides, quick reference guides, presentations, and computer-based training materials.
* Deliver technical training to engineers, system administrators, operators, Field Service Representatives (FSRs), and Government personnel.
* Develop training curricula for new software releases, system enhancements, technology refreshes, and engineering changes.
* Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure training materials accurately reflect current system capabilities and operational procedures.
* Maintain training documentation, lesson plans, training schedules, attendance records, and training metrics.
* Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend curriculum improvements based on student feedback and operational lessons learned.
* Support customer site deployments by providing onsite operator and administrator training.
* Assist with development of knowledge articles, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical documentation.
* Provide technical demonstrations and briefings to Government customers, program leadership, and stakeholders.
* Support proposal efforts by providing training approaches, schedules, and technical input as required.Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Education, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
* Minimum of 5 years of experience developing and delivering technical training for enterprise software or information systems.
* Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
* Demonstrated experience creating technical training plans, curricula, instructional materials, and student documentation.
* Experience training technical personnel on enterprise software applications and system administration.
* Excellent presentation, facilitation, and public speaking skills.
* Strong written communication skills with the ability to develop professional training documentation.
* Proficiency using Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams.
* Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.
* Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 20-30%) in support of customer training events and program activities.Preferred Qualifications * Experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or Federal Government programs.
* Familiarity with enterprise networking, Linux, virtualization, cloud technologies, or cybersecurity concepts.
* Experience developing training using adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
* Experience supporting software implementation, technology refresh, or operational transition activities.
* Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning development tools.
* Prior experience training Government customers, military personnel, or operational users.
