F.W. Walton Company is seeking a Bilingual Training & Development Coordinator to join our team and lead the development, coordination, and delivery of training programs across multiple departments. This role is critical to ensuring employees receive consistent, effective, and engaging training that supports safety, productivity, quality, and career growth.


This is more than a training role—it's an opportunity to help build and standardize learning programs that support a growing organization. The successful candidate will partner closely with HR, Operations, Safety, and Leadership teams to create professional development programs.


This is not a traditional office-only position. The Training & Development Coordinator will spend time in both office and field environments, working directly with employees, supervisors, and leadership teams. Regular travel to company locations and jobsites in Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio is required to facilitate training, observe operations, assess training needs, and ensure consistency across all locations.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

· Design, develop, and facilitate training programs for employees across multiple departments and business functions.

· Develop engaging instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced learning programs.

· Build technical training programs focused on commercial roofing operations, field procedures, and company standards.

· Create training materials including presentations, participant guides, videos, assessments, job aids, and digital learning resources.

· Partner with department leaders and subject matter experts to identify skill gaps and training opportunities.

· Translate complex technical and operational processes into easy-to-understand training content.

· Deliver training sessions in both English and Spanish.

· Support the adoption and utilization of company technologies, systems, and operational processes.

· Develop and maintain training libraries, standard operating procedures, and self-service learning resources.

· Track employee training completion, certifications, compliance requirements, and developmental progress.

· Measure training effectiveness through assessments, employee feedback, field observations, and performance metrics.

· Assist with implementing and managing Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training technologies.

· Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives that streamline workflows, improve consistency, and enhance operational performance.

· Conduct field visits to observe operations and ensure training content reflects current best practices.

· Travel periodically to support training delivery, implementation, and employee development initiatives across company locations.


Requirements:

Qualifications:

· Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).

· 3+ years of experience in Training & Development, Learning & Development, Human Resources, Corporate Training, Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.

· Experience creating professional training materials, presentations, and instructional content.

· Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.

· Excellent organizational, project management, and time-management abilities.

· Experience developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams.

· Ability to build relationships across departments and effectively influence stakeholders.

· Ability to quickly learn technical processes, systems, and operational workflows.


Preferred:

· Experience in commercial roofing, construction, building envelope systems, or related industries.

· Hands-on commercial roofing experience strongly preferred.

· Experience developing technical training for field operations and skilled trades.

· Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).

· Experience creating multimedia learning content, videos, and digital learning resources.
