The Director of Training and Development is a high impact leadership role responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive learning strategy that enables business performance, supports organizational change, and builds critical capabilities within the Admissions team. The foremost goal of the Director of Training and Development is to deliver targeted trainings for Admissions Staff using innovative and engaging classroom style and individual formats, to increase the performance of the Admissions Representatives.
Responsibilities:
  • Work with Directors of Enrollment to identify training needs and formulate training tools, processes, and strategies to meet those needs.
  • Conduct new hire onboarding for Admissions staff working with students throughout the student lifecycle.
  • Assist with the development, organization, and maintenance of training manuals, visual aids and other educational materials as it relates to programmatic information, time management, enrollment management technology, the admissions pipeline and process, outreach throughout the student lifecycle and retention best practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs by providing ongoing training support and training sessions for the Admissions staff.
  • Collaborate with supervisor to evaluate Admissions and staff performance and provide individual coaching and training programs as needed.
  • Design and deliver scalable learning programs across onboarding, compliance, functional, and professional skill areas
  • Ensure learning initiatives support key business priorities, transformation efforts, and operational effectiveness
  • Promote learning programs through clear, consistent communication Ensure employees understand available learning opportunities and how to access them

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in admissions, training and development is a sales environment, enrollment management, higher education leadership, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience designing, leading, and implementing training programs for admissions, enrollment, or student-facing teams
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop large, diverse teams, including guiding, supporting, coaching, and evaluating employees to achieve departmental and organizational goals
  • Strong leadership, coaching, facilitation, and performance management skills with a focus on employee growth and continuous improvement
  • Experience managing multiple teams, trainers, or team leaders in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
  • Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead through change, support organizational growth initiatives, and foster a culture of learning and accountability
  • Experience working with CRM, enrollment management systems, and learning management systems (LMS) preferred
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities
  • Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining high-quality training and operational standards in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and leverage performance metrics and training outcomes to improve team effectiveness and achieve departmental goals
  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Training, or a related field is preferred

Compensation:
$90,000.00 - $105,000.00 annually
