Job description

Freedom Title is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Title Examiner to join our growing team serving Pennsylvania and New Jersey. We are looking for someone dependable, organized, and knowledgeable in title review and real estate transactions.


Responsibilities

  • Reviews county and upper court judgment searches and prepares examination notes for title commitment processing.
  • Examines property surveys, updates legal descriptions when needed, and prepares survey endorsements.
  • Examine and review residential and/or commercial title searches
  • Analyze public records to identify ownership, liens, judgments, easements, and encumbrances
  • Prepare accurate title commitments and reports
  • Resolve title issues and communicate with attorneys, lenders, and clients
  • Ensure files meet PA and NJ underwriting guidelines
  • Maintain strong attention to detail and turnaround times


Qualifications

  • Previous title examining experience in Pennsylvania and/or New Jersey preferred
  • Knowledge of title insurance practices and real estate transactions
  • Ability to read and interpret legal documents and property records
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Technology: Uses information technology and related applications to convey and retrieve information; demonstrates strong computer/typing skills in Microsoft Office, email programs, accounting software, and internet browsers
