Job description

Job Title:Coordinator- Ticket Operations
Job Summary:The Coordinator-Ticket Operations will play an essential role in the daily operations of the Ticket Office. Reporting to the Director-Ticket Systems, the Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the creation of events and all things related to selling tickets through the ProVenue/Tickets.com ticket system. They will also provide support to fans at the box office and assist the different departments within the Royals organization with various initiatives. This includes ticket processing, mobile distribution, selling tickets, and customer service. Other duties assigned as necessary.
Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
  • Assist with setup building all things related to selling tickets in the Tickets.com system.
  • Upkeep of account access and permissions within ProVenue system.
  • Assist and review all ticketing related builds on the ProVenue system and online ticket sales.
  • Assist with dynamic pricing through the application used for pricing, currently Demand Analytics.
  • Assist with applications used for concessions connected with ticketing, currently Shift4/Givex.
  • Provide support to the Ticket Sales and Ticket Services departments.
  • Fulfill online and internal gift card sales.
  • Assist tour department with inventory changes and sales through Tickets.com.
  • Assist with processing and coordinating digital ticket distribution for all tickets, including, season, group, single game, complimentary, and internal requests.
  • Assist ticket operations, including customer service support and walk-up ticket sales.
  • Interact and provide customers with answers to questions and resolve ticketing issues via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Sell tickets and help with customer service window when necessary.
  • Assist with educating fans and staff on Ballpark app practices.

Position Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:
  • 4-year college degree or combination of equivalent education and experience
  • Prior experience in the ticketing or sports industry is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of ticketing software (Tickets.com, ProVenue) is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Strong written, oral communication, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines for various projects.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, as well as majority of Royals home games and other events hosted at Kauffman Stadium

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift items weighing as much as 15 pounds
  • Must be able to work in a seated position for majority of workday
  • Must be able to be productive utilizing a computer keyboard and telephone
  • Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus
  • Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, concourse, etc.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling
