Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced
***Telephone Operator***.
  • Minimum of 1 year paid medical clerical experience required.
This is a FULL TIME/TEMP TO HIRE position requiring availability between the hours of 8:30AM-5PM, Monday through Friday, located in Norfolk, VA (23502).

Responsibilities :
A Day in the life of a Telephone Operator :

Provides indirect patient care in the office/clinic setting. Greets and registers patients. Verifies patient demographic and insurance information. Performs Medical Necessity checking on procedures/tests/ordered for patients. Performs clerical duties. Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, office/clinic staff and the medical staff.

Requirements for the Telephone Operator :
  • Required: 1 year paid medical clerical experience
  • Required: Ability to pass Background Check and Drug Screen
  • Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications for the Telephone Operator :
  • Preferred: Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Preferred: Strong customer service and able to work in a fast paced environment
