    Full Time Switchboard Operator Opportunity

    Join a collaborative healthcare team where communication, customer service, and teamwork play a critical role in supporting patient care and hospital operations. We are seeking a professional and dependable Switchboard Operator to manage hospital communications, provide front line support, and assist with information systems help desk functions across the Health System.

    The Switchboard Operator is responsible for operating the hospital’s main telephone console system, managing the in-house paging system, monitoring alarm panels, and assisting with basic information systems support requests. This role serves as a key communication hub for the organization and requires excellent customer service, multitasking abilities, and professionalism in a fast paced healthcare environment.

    Job Responsibilities

    Operate the main hospital telephone console system and route incoming calls accurately and efficiently

    Manage and coordinate overhead and in-house paging requests

    Monitor alarm panels and respond appropriately to notifications and alerts

    Provide first level help desk and information systems support as needed

    Assist patients, visitors, physicians, and staff with professionalism and excellent customer service

    Maintain accurate communication and respond calmly in urgent or high priority situations

    Support hospital operations by ensuring effective communication across departments and locations

    Maintain confidentiality and comply with all hospital policies and procedures

    Perform all duties in a manner that promotes teamwork and reflects the mission and values of the Health System
