Job description

Lyra Technology Group is seeking an IT Project Engineer for one of our operating companies, Lazorpoint.  The IT Project Engineer will work directly with clients and internal teams to design, lead, and deliver complex IT projects across a wide range of technologies.

About Lazorpoint...
Lazorpoint's core mission is to empower our clients by maximizing the potential of their technology investments, driving business growth and success. We offer a comprehensive range of IT services tailored to meet the needs of middle-market companies. Join us in the pursuit of smarter, stronger, and more efficient business solutions.

Your work as an IT Project Engineer will include several components:

Consult with clients to assess requirements and recommend technically sound, business-aligned solutions
Lead small project teams or serve as a senior engineer within larger project engagements
Manage and deliver projects across Microsoft platforms, cloud infrastructure, virtualization, networking, storage, backup and recovery, and security
Guide and mentor junior team members, sharing expertise and raising the technical bar across the team
Conduct IT environment discovery and assessments for new and existing clients
Lead infrastructure projects tied to mergers and acquisitions, new location buildouts, and cloud migrations (including Microsoft 365)
Design and implement centralized computing solutions
Architect and deploy server virtualization and data center solutions
Design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions that meet client business continuity requirements
Travel locally to client sites as needed

Our ideal IT Project Engineer has the following qualifications:

5+ years of project delivery and engineering experience within a Managed Service Provider (MSP). This experience is essential, and candidates without MSP project delivery backgrounds are unlikely to be a strong fit.
5+ years of hands-on experience with the Microsoft platform (Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to independently lead and execute IT projects from scoping through delivery.
Strong client-facing communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Internally motivated with a track record of delivering high-quality outcomes independently and as part of a team.
Organized, analytical, and comfortable managing competing project priorities.
Genuine commitment to client service and client experience.

 Preferred:
Prior mid-market or IT consulting experience
   Solutions Architect experience
   Cyber security experience
Technical certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, Dell, VMware, CompTIA, etc.) are a plus
A degree in a technology or business-related field is preferred

The target salary for this role is $90,000-$115,000 per year and will operate in a hybrid model out of the Cleveland, OH office. If you're motivated by meaningful client relationships, strategic selling, and a dynamic work environment, we want to hear from you!
