Description

 We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to join our client's team in West Jefferson, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional who enjoys working directly with end users, solving technical problems, and supporting day-to-day technology operations.


This is a part-time, contract-to-hire position averaging approximately 20 hours per week. The successful candidate will work entirely on-site, providing hands-on support for Windows workstations, mobile devices, and general IT infrastructure.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys helping others and can confidently handle a variety of day-to-day IT responsibilities. This role is perfect for an experienced Help Desk Analyst, Desktop Support Technician, or IT Support Specialist looking for a flexible part-time opportunity with long-term potential. 

Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier I and Tier II technical support for end users via in-person, phone, and email. 
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, and peripheral issues. 
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain Windows 11 desktops and laptops. 
  • Support Apple iPhones and iPads, including basic setup, troubleshooting, and user assistance. 
  • Install software, apply updates, and maintain workstation configurations. 
  • Assist with user account administration, password resets, and access requests. 
  • Document support requests, resolutions, and equipment inventory. 
  • Set up workstations for new employees and assist with employee onboarding/offboarding. 
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and accessories. 
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors when additional technical support is required. 
  • Assist with small IT projects, equipment upgrades, and office technology improvements. 
  • Follow established security policies and IT best practices. 
  • Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining professionalism with users at all levels of the organization.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of hands-on IT support or desktop support experience. 
  • Experience supporting Windows 11 operating systems. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications. 
  • Experience troubleshooting desktop hardware, printers, and common software issues. 
  • Familiarity supporting Apple iPhones and iPads
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. 
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities. 
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while working independently. 
  • Experience documenting work and maintaining accurate records. 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Active Directory user administration. 
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, printers, VPN connectivity). 
  • Experience imaging and deploying computers.  
  • Experience with inventory or asset management.
  • Criminal Justice Information Certified or the ability to become certified after employment.
  • System Admin, networking, or network security background a bonus

Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment BCI background check and drug-screen. Our client is a drug-free workplace.
