Job description

Norton Collar Lund Lilley, PLLC is looking for a full-time tax manger to join our growing CPA practice. We provide tax compliance, audit, attest, and accounting consulting services to business entities, not-for-profits, and individuals.

This position is for a self-motivated tax professional with a strong desire to lead an 8-10 person team of accounting professionals in all phases of the client tax advisory and compliance process. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and coach teams of people, including experienced and entry-level team members.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Performing technical review of individual and business income tax returns
  • Independently researching and advising on tax issues
  • Training, supervising and motivating staff
  • Providing helpful feedback to staff in relation to their work product
  • Evaluating and advising staff
  • Managing and serving as first point of contact for multiple client tax engagements
  • Liaison between staff and partners

We are a well-established local CPA firm in North Raleigh with a diverse client base paying a competitive salary based on experience.

On site, hybrid and full remote work arrangements will be considered.

Strong performance in the tax manager position will provide a path to partner in the next few years.

Required skills and experience

  • Five plus years of public accounting experience
  • Several years’ experience preparing and/or reviewing business and individual tax returns
