Job description

Accentuate Staffing is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join a client in Durham, NC. This role serves as the primary post-sale contact for assigned customers, ensuring a high level of service and fostering strong, long-term relationships. The Account Manager will support customer accounts, manage ongoing inquiries, coordinate internal resources, and identify opportunities for account growth and retention. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.
Responsibilities:

  • Manage account activities during and after the sale, allowing Sales Representatives to focus on new business development.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned customers regarding current projects, orders in process, and future opportunities.
  • Respond promptly to customer requests and resolve issues that arise during production or service delivery.
  • Communicate project status, progress, changes, and customer concerns to the sales team and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, account files, and detailed account history.
  • Prepare reports related to account performance, opportunities, challenges, and territory activity.
  • Analyze reports and data to identify revenue growth and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Assist with the implementation and execution of products and services for customers.
  • Consult with customers to understand business needs and develop customized solutions.
  • Prepare customer opportunity summaries for Sales Representatives and Sales Management.
  • Develop presentations and sales collateral to support upselling existing accounts and winning new business.
  • Assist with the preparation of RFPs and RFQs for managed accounts.
  • Stay current on industry trends, products, specifications, and competitor activity, sharing relevant insights with the sales team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant account management, customer service, sales support, or related experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines with accuracy.
  • Comfortable working with established processes while adapting to non-routine situations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Windows/Mac environments, and the ability to quickly learn new systems or specialized software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, internal teams, and leadership.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify customer needs and growth opportunities.
