Job description

Description

About Spherico

Spherico is the market access agency of GSW-one of the largest full-service healthcare advertising agencies in the U.S. We exist because Syneos Health believes access is essential: lifesaving and life-enhancing therapies should be available at the right time, every time. We communicate with payers, health systems, providers, patients, caregivers, pharmacists, and others. When brands need to gain or optimize access, so their medicines reach their potential, Spherico identifies unmet needs and the issues that magnify a product's value-and we find ways to accelerate growth, regardless of the barrier.

The Account Director leads client relationships and supports access marketing for both traditional market access stakeholders and HCP/patient initiatives addressing access and reimbursement considerations across healthcare accounts. This role partners with clients and internal cross-functional teams to guide brand development, strategic planning, scope execution, and account profitability. The Account Director also supports team development, new business opportunities, and high-quality delivery across multiple projects and workstreams.
What You'll Do

  • Lead client relationships across 1-2 healthcare brands, including day-to-day partnership, strategic alignment, and account stewardship.
  • Guide cross-functional teams through managed markets deliverables, including value briefs, project briefs, tactical plans, and client presentations.
  • Guide scope development, project prioritization, timelines, and account profitability in partnership with internal stakeholders.
  • Apply managed markets, pharmaceutical marketing, and brand strategy knowledge to support print, digital, and social deliverables.
  • Partner with senior leaders to identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and support new business development.

Qualifications
Required

  • 6+ years of agency or healthcare marketing experience, including client-facing account leadership across pharmaceutical or life sciences work.
  • Market access and patient access marketing experience with ownership of strategic plans, tactical execution, or payer-focused communications.
  • Experience managing multiple projects or workstreams at once, including prioritization, timelines, budgets, and client deliverables.
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills demonstrated through client presentations, strategic recommendations, or senior stakeholder updates.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, life sciences, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Desired

  • Brand management experience supporting pharmaceutical, healthcare, or market access and patient access programs.
  • Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Individual should be a self-starter/self-motivator.
  • Experience contributing to organic growth or new business opportunities within existing client accounts.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $125,000 to $145,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
