Job Overview:
The Associate, Account Management is responsible for independently managing key aspects of assigned client accounts across all Asymchem CDMO service modalities, including small molecule and other supported technology platforms. This role is focused on account oversight, crossfunctional coordination, and the exercise of professional judgment in responding to client needs, working closely with senior Account Managers, Business Development leaders, and crossfunctional technical teams to ensure highquality client service and consistent project execution. This position offers broad exposure to multimodality CDMO projects and the full account lifecycle, while acting as a trusted commercial partner providing mentorship and development under experienced commercial leaders.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee of ongoing client account activities, ensuring timely communication and alignment between customers and internal teams (e.g., tech, legal, project management) and identifying issues, escalating risks, and recommending solutions as appropriate
- Participate in client calls and meetings to prepare agendas, lead portions of discussions, synthesize outcomes, and drive followup actions and resolution, and action item tracking
- Evaluate and manage inbound client requests, including RFIs, scope updates, and general account inquiries, by determining appropriate internal engagement and recommended responses in collaboration with technical and operational teams
- Develop, review, and refine of client presentations, proposals, account reviews, and commercial documentation, ensuring alignment with account strategy and business objectives
- Maintain accurate and uptodate account records, project details, and opportunity information within CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and analyze account activity, pipeline trends, and key milestones to inform account planning and internal reporting
- Track account activity, pipeline developments, and key milestones to support internal reporting and account planning
- Conduct account and market research to inform account strategy, crosssell awareness, and client engagement efforts, including identifying growth opportunities and providing recommendations to Account Management and Business Development leadership
- Collaborate crossfunctionally to ensure consistent messaging, aligned responses, and a highquality customer experience
- Serve as a primary internal point of contact for assigned accounts, exercising discretion in prioritizing client needs, resolving routine issues, and aligning internal resources in support of commercial objectives
- Support selected industry conferences, client visits, and networking activities, as needed
- Perform additional account management or commercial support duties as assigned
Experience Requirements - Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related life science discipline required
- 1-2 years of relevant industry experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO/CDMO, or related healthcare environments
- Experience assisting or owning aspects of account management, client services, business development support, or project coordination functions
- Demonstrated ability to manage active customer accounts and multimodality projects, including coordination of client communications and internal followups
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce or similar) to document client interactions, maintain account records, and track opportunities or pipeline activity
- Working knowledge of the drug discovery and development lifecycle, with the ability to support projects across multiple development and manufacturing stages
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with professionalism in clientfacing interactions and internal collaboration
- Highly organized and detailoriented, with the ability to manage multiple customer requests, projects, and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to work effectively in a crossfunctional, global environment involving technical, operational, and commercial stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment, analyze complex information, and apply professional discretion in a commercial environment
- Proactive mindset, strong followthrough, and eagerness to develop deeper expertise in Account Management within a CDMO setting
