IT Software Development Specialist

Position Summary The IT Software Development Specialist design and ship integrations across our core platforms (data warehouse, accounting, HRIS, case/practice tools, etc.) and develop internal and client-facing apps in the .NET ecosystem.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensuring case management software (CMS) feed is cleared daily
  • Completing all assigned tasks by relevant deadlines
  • Documenting all relevant activity in CMS properly
  • Ensuring emails are cleared daily
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining integrations between key firm systems
  • Shipping maintainable .NET web apps with clean architecture, strong authentication/authorization, and great UX
  • Managing secrets, applying least-privilege access, instrumenting audit trails, and upholding privacy requirements for sensitive data
  • Translating business workflows into technical designs; writing specs, tests, and clear documentation; participating in code reviews
  • Creating and updating documentation
  • Driving/flying to secondary office locations as requested
  • Attending regular meetings with the IT Team
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Professional software engineering building production systems
  • C# and .NET development including ASP.NET Core experience
  • Building and maintaining REST APIs/integrations with third-party SaaS
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar)
  • Front-end experience with Razor/Blazor or TypeScript and a modern JS framework with at least one shipped UI on the resume
  • Expereince working with relational databases, writing SQL or using an ORM.

Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Experience working in a law firm or legal services environment.
  • C#/.NET development experience, including ownership of a production service or web app
  • Azure services or equivalent cloud stack
  • Experience implementing authN/authZ via Entra ID/Azure AD, Auth0, or similar
